Before installing, ensure your Windows PC meets the minimum requirement of .NET framework 4.6.1 or later. AlfaOBD for PC is compatible with Windows XP, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11.

Similar to the Android version, the PC software offers a free version with limited features. The free version allows access to basic diagnostics, but active diagnostic procedures, configuration, and manual connect features require license activation. The free version has a 15-minute session run-time limit.
AlfaOBD for PC can also be used on Mac devices via Parallels or Bootcamp Windows installations. However, on M1 Macs with Parallels, only WiFi OBD interfaces are compatible. Intel-based Macs with Parallels support both USB and WiFi interfaces. For Bluetooth/USB/WiFi interface support on Intel Macs, Bootcamp Windows installation is required.
The PC license is priced at 56.7 USD (VAT included) and includes lifetime access, updates, and activation on up to two PCs. You can easily transfer the license between PCs without extra charges.
Starting from version 2.2.2.0, license purchases and activations are managed through Paddle.com, a secure online payment platform.
Purchasing a PC License – Two Convenient Methods:
Method 1: Web Purchase

Activating Your PC License:

Transferring Your PC License:
- Deactivate the license on your current PC first.
- Open AlfaOBD, go to the “About” tab.
- Click “Activate license (Paddle.com)”.
- Click “Deactivate” in the activation window.
- On the new PC, install and open AlfaOBD.
- Activate the license using the same email and license code.
If your PC crashes and you cannot deactivate the license, contact [email protected] to request deactivation of the old license.
Legacy License Activation (Pre-August 11th, 2020 Purchases):
For customers who purchased licenses before August 11th, 2020, or through distributors, use the legacy activation method:
- Use the “Send activation request” feature to email your License request code to [email protected]. Alternatively, send a photo or screenshot of the About screen.
- You will receive an activation code.
- Paste the code into the “Paste activation code…” box on the About screen.
- Click “Activate.”
