For iPhones (iOS 10 or later), the “TopGuru” app is necessary. We appreciated the prompt responses from both US- and China-based support centers when seeking clarification on app compatibility. For Windows users, the software is readily available and performs well.
The app installation and connection to the TopDon scanner are quick and efficient on Windows. A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) scan identified a parking sensor fault, a finding shared by only two other scanners in our test (OBDeleven and vLinker MC+).
