History of Car Parts Warehouse Inc.
## 1975Started business as Di Fiore’s Union 76, Inc.
## 1976Opened Great Northern Foreign Auto Service, Inc. in North Olmsted, Ohio. (Later changed to Tony’s Brake & Tire Center). Six service bays specializing in import vehicle service work.
## 1983Opened Foreign Car Parts Warehouse, Inc. in the front of the North Olmsted facility. Later changed to Car Parts Warehouse West, a mini distribution center serving customers on the west side of Cleveland.
## 1985Opened Car Parts Warehouse Inc. on West 130th Street. The CPW general offices are located here.
## 1997Purchased King of Parts – an auto parts store in Medina, Ohio. Renamed it to Car Parts Warehouse Medina. Moved the store to a larger facility and dramatically increased the inventory.
## 1997Purchased the legendary Clark Auto Parts. The single largest auto parts store in the greater Cleveland area.
## 1997Purchased Tony’s Auto Parts on Fulton Road in Cleveland, Ohio.
## 1998Purchased Eagle Auto Parts in Euclid, Ohio. Converted it into a mini-distribution center and called it Car Parts Warehouse, Euclid.
## 1999Purchased a three store chain called Al, Lou & Jim Auto Parts. Renamed to Car Parts Warehouse Lorain Elyria & Avon.
## 2000Purchased Reith Auto Stores a Pronto Warehouse Distributor on the East side of Cleveland. Euclid, Maple Heights, Painesville, Willoughby, Hinckley Parkway, Mayfield, Mentor, Miles Road and Eagle Automotive, a transmission parts specialty store.
## 2000Opened a second distribution center in Euclid, Ohio. A 40,000 square foot double decked building.
## 2001Purchased Foreign Car Parts in Cleveland Heights.
## 2001Opened Car Parts Warehouse Parma.
## 2002Purchased T&J Auto Parts Broadview Heights.
## 2002Moved Car Parts Warehouse Painesville into a new larger location.
## 2002Purchased Big B Automotive Warehouse an Auto Value Warehouse Distributor. A 25,000 sq. foot distribution center in the Southern part of our trading area.
## 2003Expanded our Brook Park distribution center by adding new loading docks and an extra 10,000 sq feet of of warehouse space to better service our customers.
## 2003Opened Car Parts Warehouse Canton
## 2003Acquired the assets of Mariclare Inc.
## 2004Joined the Parts Plus group. The premier group of automotive distributors in the United States. Now called ADN Automotive Distribution Network.
## 2004Opened our second Akron location on Evans Avenue.
## 2004Opened Car Parts Warehouse ABC, a bulk product storage warehouse.
## 2005Purchased Transparts Inc. a Federated Warehouse Distributor and is now Car Parts Warehouse Youngstown.
## 2007Opened Car Parts Warehouse Brunswick.
## 2007Opened Car Parts Warehouse Kent.
## 2008Opened Car Parts Warehouse Warren.
## 2009Moved Car Parts Warehouse Mayfield Village to a new larger location in Mayfield Heights.
## 2010Moved car Parts Warehouse Cleveland Heights to a new larger location in South Euclid.
## 2010Moved Clark Auto Parts into a new 20,000 Square Foot Location next door to the legendary Clark Auto Parts on the corner of 46th and Clark Ave.
## 2010Opened Car Parts Warehouse Rootstown.
## 2010Opened Car Parts Warehouse Oakwood Village.
## 2011Moved Car Parts Warehouse Kent due to eminent domain. Still Located in Kent.
## 2012Opened Car Parts Warehouse Warrensville Heights Distribution Center. Over 150,000 Square feet of warehouse space on 16 acres with 400 car parking. This location also houses the Car Parts Warehouse training center and expo center.
## 2013Started VIP Delivery, added 40,000sq feet of mezzanine and second floor conveyor to the Warrensville Distribution Center, launched the CPW Smart Button & became a Motorcraft Factory Authorized Distributor.
## 2014Opened Car Parts Warehouse Kamms Corners.
## 2014Purchased Airport Go Karts and renamed to the Car Parts Warehouse Raceway
## 2014Opened Car Parts Warehouse Mentor.
## 2014Opened Car Parts Warehouse Chardon.
## 2015Opened Car Parts Warehouse Akron Archwood Ave.
